I have been a Senior Pastor for a total of 12 years:  7 in a church plant, 2 ½ in a transitioning church in Montana and 2 ½ years at Grace Community Church.

Our church plant grew from 7 to 215 in 7 years; the church in Montana was 165 and now at Grace, 550

 I served 5 years in Youth Ministry at 2 churches and as Senior Associate Pastor for 3 years.

staff/support pastor?
 I was Youth Pastor in
Dallas, Texas for a church of 700 for 4 years. One year in a church of 150 and 3 Years as Senior Associate in church of 450

Suburban church plant (
Dallas, TX area), Rural Mountain (Deer Lodge, MT 3,500 people) and Suburban Denver

7.      Briefly paint a word portrait of the church you are currently pastoring?
Grace has transitioned over time from Pensecola revival center to Purpose Driven/seeker sensitive. Now, in the past 2 ½ years, we have focused on becoming a believer focused/seeker aware church whose vision is “To see as many people as possible in as many places as possible as quickly as possible transformed by the Lordship of Jesus Christ”.  We have a dream to plant at least one new church per year employing a wide variety of models.

8.      Describe any special skills, experiences, challenges, hardships, etc.
you've had or have that you think would help build coaching credibility with leaders in similar situations?
Creating team cohesion in the board, conflict resolution in the staff, creating a compelling vision and getting buy-in from the congregation, music worship wars, cultural relevance vs compromise debate, team building and leadership empowerment, and priority matching within budgets, programs, atmosphere, culture, etc.

12.  Why Am I A Coach?  Because coaching has the power to encourage and clarify a leader. I have been the recipient of great coaching and it has been in incredible personal help. I love pastors and want God to use me in any way possible to encourage them.
